This Indenture made the 2nd day of January AD 1834 Between William Long of the county of Lincoln and State of North Carolina of the one part and David Fisher of the County of Lincoln & State of North Carolina of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Long for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said David Fisher the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said David Fisher his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land Situate lying & being on the waters of Clarkes creek in said county of Lincoln Bounded as follows Begining at a post oak Michael Littens corner on a [Stone hill?] thence North ten East twelve poles to a Red oak thence No 47. E. 69 poles to a Maple then North 22 E 22 poles to a Stake then South Eighty E 17 ½ poles to a small post oak then No 22 E 48 poles to a post oak thence No. 61. E. 35 poles to a Stake then South 40 East Sixty four poles to a pine then S. 13. E. 48 poles to a Black oak then S. 86. W. 52 poles to a Black oak Grub then S. 43 W. 45 poles to a Stake then South 100 poles to a White oak thence North 78 W 22 poles to a White oak then N. 46 W. 44 poles to a Black oak thence North 30 W. 67 poles to the Begining containing by Computation seventy six acres be the same more or less Being a part of ^two a tracts granted to James Litton reference maybe had to a different grant And also all woods ways waters and water courses and all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise Appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the Estate right Title interest claims property and demand whatsoever of the said William Long of or and to the land and premises hereby granted To Have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises with the appurtenances to the said David Fisher his heirs and assigns to the proper use and behoof of the said David Fisher his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Long for himself and his heirs the afforesaid land and premises and every part thereof against himself and his heirs and assigns the Claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever to the said David Fisher his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant & forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said William Long hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year first above written
