This Indenture this 28th day of March AD 1835 Between Mason Harwell of the County of Lincoln and State of North Carolina of the one part and Reuben Fisher of the county and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred and twenty five dollars to the said Mason Harwell in hand paid by the said Reuben Fisher the receipt & payment whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given and Granted and by these presents doth give grant bargain and Sell alien and confirm unto the said Reuben Fisher his heirs and assigns forever a tract of land lying and being in the County of Lincoln on the blind branch & waters of Mountain Creek near the little Mountain & is bounded as follows Beginning at a pine David Linebargers corner running South 74 W. 68 poles with his line to a Rock & pine on Michael Linebargers line then North 256 poles to a White oak Forneys corner then S. 86 E. 93 poles to a small Gum corner of the heirs of Thomas Fisher thence a New line South 80 poles to a post oak another corner of said heirs running North 76 E. 35 poles to a Black oak david Linebargers other corner then with his line S. 20 West 160 poles to the begining containing by estimation 143 acres be the same more or less To Have and to Hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land Together with all woods ways waters Mines Minerals Hereditaments & appurtenances thereunto belonging or appertaining to him the said Reuben Fisher his heirs and assigns forever from the said Mason Harwell & his heirs and from all persons whatsoever claiming or to claim the same And the said Mason Harwell doth for himself and his heirs covenant and agree to warrant & defend the aforesaid land and premises to the said Reuben Fisher his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the said Mason Harwell hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and Year first above Written.
