This Indenture made the 25th day of December AD 1832 Between Richard Fisher of the county of Lincoln & State of North Carolina of the one part and Archibald Fleming of the same county & State of the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard Fisher for & in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Archibald Fleming the receipt whereof the said Richard Fisher doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said Archibald Fleming his heirs and assigns forever a tract or parcel of land formerly made to the said Richard Fisher by William Fisher deceased bearing date 1814 Recourse being had & on the waters of Beverdam Branches in the county of Lincoln and State of North Carolina and bounded as follows Viz begining at a small Hickory at the corner of Widow Longs fence then W 151. to a Stake in a pile of rocks then So. runing to and with Archd Flemings line 124 poles to a red oak then E. 151. poles to a small pine on Robert Knox’s line then North 69. poles to a Stake on the South side of the said William and Richard Fishers Spring branch then up the branch West six poles & 2/3.rd to a Rock thence North runing and crossing the Middle of the Spring three poles to a Maple then East 6 poles & 2/3 crossing the branch to the South to a Stake near to a large White oak then North 54 poles to the begining Containing by Estimation 107. acres be the same more or less To Have and To Hold the aforesaid tract of land Together with all and singular the land and premises aforesaid To Have and to hold to the said Archibald Fleming his heirs and assigns forever from the said Richard Fisher and his heirs and against the claim or claims of all other persons whatsoever to the said Archibald Fleming his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said Richard Fisher hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & year first above written
