The BEATY-BEATTY-BEATTIE-BAITY Reunion

The annual BEATY-BEATTY-BEATTIE-BAITY (and other variants) Reunion is held on the third Sunday in September, at the historic Rock Springs Camp Ground in Denver, Lincoln County, NC. The reunion convenes under the arbor at 10:00 a.m. for getting to know each other and individual discussions on each other's family line. A covered dish lunch is at 1:00 p.m. immediately after which a business meeting will be held.

Many of the Beatys (and other variants) from Catawba, Gaston, Lincoln, and Mecklenburg counties are descendants of the pioneers John Beatty or surveyor Francis Beatey or William Beatty. The clan historian, James B. Beaty, and several clan genealogists will be present to answer queries.

Now in the third year:

We also have a research progress and information meeting. The date each year is the third Saturday of March. Time is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mulberry Presbyterian Church fellowship hall. Location is Tuckaseegee and Mulberry Church Road (at end of Billy Graham Parkway that crosses Interstate 85, Charlotte, NC.

This is a good time to find out what has been going on with the research. Our group will have collected material to share and try to help with finding that bit of information one might be missing. The informal meeting will also cover some of the developments in the use of the Web for expanding research. Visitors of other families are welcome to attend for help and advice on researching.
