| Airsoft Skirmishing
If you've ever played in paintball games, then you already have a basic idea of what airsoft skirmishing is. Skirmishing is basically a bunch of people with airsoft guns shooting at each other. Like paintball but more realistic and sometimes less paintful! Skirmishing can be done no matter how many people you have on teams or what type of game/scenerio your playing. Plus, you can use smoke grenades in airsoft.
| | First of all, the guns are different. Your basic paintball gun (which really doesn't look like a real gun at all) is gas powered and fires balls of paint which explode (sometimes) on contact with a player. Airsoft guns can be gas powered, but the AEGs are just so much more better because they don't require you to purchase more gas! All airsoft guns, whether gas, electric, spring, etc., are designed to fire a 6mm resin (plastic) BBs. |
Secondly, airsoft is a lot cheaper. You don't have to keep buying gas for your gun, instead you just recharge the battery over and over again. After a while, that will end up saving you a lot of money. Plus, the BBs are cheaper than paintballs. In some companies like RedWolf Airsoft you can get 3500 BBs for 10 U.S. Dollars (USD).
Thirdly, you get to fire fully auto and semi-automatic. All you have to do is flip the selector (just like you would on a real gun) between "Safe", "Semi", and "Auto" and pull that trigger. When you can fire BBs at around 650-700 rounds per minute (with an unmodified AEG in full-auto mode), why wouldn't you want an airsoft gun?
