Viruses can be a computers
worst nightmare. Some viruses can deleted data, leave your computer
open to more viruses, eat up system resources to slow down your
computer, or just hibernate until activated a certain way. An antivirus
program is a must to help protect your computer from viruses. There are
free antivirus programs such as
AVG
antivirus which will provide some virus protection, however I recommend
buying a well known Antivirus program (Norton, McAfee, BitDefender).
Out of these top names, I recommend BitDefender the most. It takes up
the least amount of space and finds viruses and other programs that
Norton does not detect. If you are infected I will remove the viruses. Spyware/Adware can be just as dangerous as a virus. These can slow down a system as well, but instead steal data and share it with other websites which can lead to A LOT of spam mail and other unwanted things such as popups, extra toolbars installed on your browser, or programs installed without your notice. Microsoft is offering a free Antispyware which I highly recommend. You can download it by going the the Microsoft Antispyware Website. If you are infected with spyware, I will remove these programs. |
