| Chapter 4 |
| Howie went strait to his room & found all of his bandmates there. “He D. how’d it go?” A.J. asked. “Not so good,” he replied. “D what is going on & what’s happening,” Kevin asked. “Before I met you guys I used to date this girl. She & I, well, you guys know the rest. The last time I saw her was about 12-13 years ago. Her father told me today the only reason she is coming after me is because she claims I’m the father of her child & she is dying. Tomorrow I have to go do a DNA test to find out if the girl is really mine.” “Why is your ex-girlfriend dying?” Brian asked. “She has cancer & according to her father she has had so many relapses they can’t cure her.” “What happens if your ex’s child is yours?” Nick asked. “I have the option of taking her in myself or paying child support.” “What are you going to choose,” their manager asked. “I don’t know yet.” Everyone but A.J. left shortly afterwards. Howie left & decided to go to the hotel gym & calm down. The results were disastrous. He had been asked to leave because I couldn’t concentrate on what he was doing. He could only think about Sarah & Sunny. Howie was about to take a nap when the phone for the hotel rang. “Hello,” he said answering the phone. “May I speak to Mr. Howard Dorough please,” came a woman’s voice. “Speaking,” “Mr. Dorough this is Jessica Robins, Sarah’s mother. I know we haven’t been on pleasant terms in the past, but seeing that you might be the father of my granddaughter I was thinking we could possibly meet up for lunch & talk.” “Mrs. Robins, with all do respect ma’am, what if I am not Sunny’s father?” “I still want to make it up to you. Sarah really didn’t date anyone after you & I did treat you very unfairly by not getting to know you.” “All right then. When & where shall we meet.” “There is a little dinner that I know you will be familiar with because you & Sarah went there all the time in Orlando. It is on the corner of 1st & Main Street. We can meet in 1 hour.” “All right, until then. Goodbye Mrs. Robins.” “Good bye,” |
