I started showing and breeding in Shih
Tzu in 1976 when the breed had only been
recognized by the AKC for 7 years.
My first champion, Am Can Ch Jen Mi's
Four Wheel Drive, "Driver" was a wonderful
little dog and a great foundation for any
breeder to start with. With his marvelous
large head and beautiful large full dark
eyes he was a true show dog that made him a
wonderful companion and great producer, he
is now gone and sadly missed.
Here at Peking we actively show our dogs
at AKC shows and almost always have a new
dog to show each year, and have new
champions yearly. All our dogs are home
raised as pets and live a very good
comfortable life within the home. Once they
have finished their championships, they are
cut down and allowed to run and play and are
never put back in a pen.
Occasionally we have some lovely puppies
for sale and all puppies that are not going
to show homes are sold on spay/neuter
agreements and are given health guarantees,
all have excellent coats, and have superb
healthy backgrounds with only the best in
temperaments as all puppies have been hand
raised. Many colors of gold/white,
red/white, solid red/black mask and solid
black and black/whites are now being
produced by our boys and girls. Inquires
are always welcome and invited. What better
subject to talk about than my beloved Shih
Tzu!
