The
AA-10 'Alamo'
The
AA-10 'Alamo' is modern Russian's standard
AAM. It is a medium range semi-active radar homing missile or SARH, in
the same class as the
American AIM-7 'Sparrow'. Alamo equips MiG-29
'Fulcrum'
The
AA-11 'Archer'
The
AA-11 'Archer' is a short range Inferred Homing
or IR for short. Archer is slightly larger than it's american counterpart
the famous IR homer
the AIM-9 'Sidewinder. The AA-11 is a wing tip missile and it's warhead
is very effective.
The Archer equips everything from the MiG-23
onwards.
The
AA-12 'Amraamski'
The
AA-11 'Amaarski' is russian development of the
AIM-120 AMRAAM. This missiles uses an active radar seeker making it a fire
and forget
weapon. This is russia's new generation missile it will go into service
with the MiG-29 'Fulcrum'
