HARVARD MEMORIAL BIOGRAPHIES

Harvard Memorial Biographies, a two volume set published in 1866, is a series of memoirs honoring the graduates and undergraduates of the august institution who fell in battle during the Civil War (or who had died in consequence of services rendered during the epic struggle to preserve the Union). Of the 95 memorials, 15 highlight the lives and service of officers who served in the 2nd Massachusetts Infantry.
