Minutes
President David Boyd presided
at the February 1st meeting at
710 College. The EXPO at
BRIMS was successful. The May
EXPO was announced.
Construction on the modules
will be on an "on call" basis due
to the cold weather. Sonny
Spillman will let us use his
shop. New member Willard
Thomas was introduced. Mr.
Thomas is "Mr. Model
Railroader" in this area and we
are honored to have such a
master join our ranks. Dues of
$15.00 are due March 1st. Most
members have already renewed
their memberships and David
Boyd contributed an extra
$10.00 to the treasury which
allowed us to pay our insurance.
Treasurer Butler reported a
balance of $184.76 from new
dues and renewals after paying
the insurance. Nomination
forms will be sent with the
newsletter and election of
officers will take place on
March 1st. A layout for the
BRIMS museum was approved
and Secretary Oakes will
prepare a letter of agreement
stating the responsibilities of
both parties. Completion will be
around the Christmas season
1997. Oakes will check about a
July EXPO at the Kentucky
Museum in conjunction with
their transportation exhibit. Joe
Bailey will check about
locations for a September EXPO
in Barren County, either the
Lion's Club building at Park
City or some location in
Glasgow. After the meeting,
members removed the EXPO
from BRIMS museum.
