Hosts
Model
Train Expo

The next sHOw Model Train
EXPO is scheduled for July
12th through the 25th 1997 at
the Kentucky Museum on the
campus of Western Kentucky
University as part of the
Warren County Bicentennial.
The trains will be operating
on Saturday the 12th, 19th
and 26th and Sunday the
13th, 20th and 27th. Hours
are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on
Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to
4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Videos
on railroads and model
railroading will be shown at
different times in the
Museum. Admission on
Sundays is free. Other days
the fee is $2.00 for adults,
$1:00 for a child or $5:00 for a
family pass.


Next Model
Train EXPO
Set for Auburn

The Model Train EXPO will
be featured at the Auburn
Library Museum on
Saturday September 19th and
Sunday September 20th, 1997.
Many of our members are
from Auburn so we are
honored to be showing in
this community.

JULY ORDERS
DUE FOR GROUP
PURCHASES OF
MODEL
RAILROADING

The club will place group
purchasing orders fro model
railroading supplies. Flyers
and catalogs will be at 710
College and David Boyd will
coordinate the orders.
Deadline for the first order
is the August 2nd club
meeting.
October and Jaunuary are the
other months when we will
order. Be sure to check out
the specials and place your
orders.

Minutes
Business meeting met July 5,1997 at
Butler Motors, president Paul Jones
presidint. Barren River Imaginative
Museum of the Sciences has signed an 0;BR>agreement with the sHOw club to
construct a permanent layout in the
loft of the Museum. We plan to have it
operational in October. Oakes will
redraw the layout to show alterations
suggested. Paul Jones said he had not
heard from Neal Toms about an
EXPO in Park City so that is not
scheduled for Labor Day weekend. For
the July EXPO we need 16 or more
modules to make a presentable
display. Modules will leave Butler
Motors at 3:00 P.M. on Friday to the
Museum. Corner modules will be
moved nest and setup is 6:00 P.M. at
the Kentucky Museum. Take down
will be after closing on Sunday July
27. The club video will be used to
create a video promotion which will be
shown on TKR cable. Motion was
made and seconded and passed
unanimously to invite Charles Hogan,
Jack Brown and Frank Chelf to
display their modules with the EXPO.
Paul Jones will ask. A sign-up sheet
will be attached to newsletter for work
times, The treasury has $490.78. The
contribution caboose will be place
conspicuosly at the EXPO.
