Myself and 5 other players meet monthly to play Risk. this had been going on for 8 years.
We have developed rule variations which the monthly host can choose from and a point structure established which allows us to declare a winner at the end of each year. awards are given for point champion as well as points per game average ove rthe course of the year.
We also publish a monthly newsletter with game highlights, interviews and fictious events allowing the league to appear more wordly than it really is.
We have a lot of un with it and would like to expand it at some point bringing in new members and developing some sort of league play.
We collect monthly dues (minimal) for future purchases. We already have made up customized Risk league hats with our emblem and player names.
We enjoy the game of Risk not only for the fun of the game but also the opportunity for friends to make plans for keeping in touch.
