Intro As a TTDX pro, you may have thought of designing this crossing as a complicated thing... but there is another alternative much simpler: the roundabout. Usually, TTDX expert players do not use roundabouts as they are prone to congestion in busy lines. However, a good analysis of this case shows how a solution based on a roundabout can work perfectly here, and it is by far the easiest option. The theory behind A roundabout gets congested when there trains which use it cover the whole roundabout (the 360 degrees). If you can build a roundabout where one of the sections is not used by any train, you can be sure that it will not get congested - moreover, you can remove this section and then it is not a roundabout anymore! ![]() This is exactly the situation here. If you pay attention to the train routes, no train uses the section between the two tracks of the main line (2 in the picture). So we can build a roundabout that we know will work! ![]() Of course then we can remove the section not used.... ![]() And finally, as there is a lot of traffic coming up to Gadham Central I decided to add a bridge to avoid the other side traffic. In my opinion, this the optimum solution! ![]() Check out how it works Do you want to check out how it works? Download the whole saved game! Complains? Comments?
