Agility Peppa
At first Peppa
was a shy and reclusive king, but he has learned confidence and
self-esteem through agility training. Agility allows him to
concentrate and focus on specific goals and teamwork with his
regents, which helps him not be distracted by other dogs and
people. In fact, from the time that he was a tiny puppy, Peppa has
shown talent for agility. He used to crawl all along under chairs
and around table legs, fitting into spaces so tiny that you'd
never think he'd manage. Peppa's favorite agility events are the
jumps (both high and broad), the A-frame, the chute, and the
tunnels. His least favorite are the teeter and the dog walk. The
first time Peppa went over the teeter, he ran too fast and the end
banged down and scared him. Poodles can sometimes be too smart for
their own good, and Peppa is no exception - he remembers that the
teeter is scary and still doesn't really like it, no matter how
many times he practices. Peppa is also a bit scared of the dog
walk, because he is still young and has some trouble remembering
where his back legs are. He needs to be very careful not to slip
off the end!
