WEYMOUTH, DORSET
Lulworth Cove
In July 2000 we went on a short break to Weymouth on the Dorset coast. We stayed in typical British B&B overlooking the main bay. We christened our room "the Pigeon loft" because of its position...at the top of the house.
We walked down to Weymouth's bustling harbour and had a lovely meal at"The Ship Inn". We then went for as moonight walk along the bay and finished off the night with a night cap and a game of darts.
Portland Bill
Lulworth Cove is well worth a visit and they serve a very good piece of cod at the local pub.The coastal walk over to the next bay is quite steep, but some of the views are stunning.
A trip over to Portland is an interesting way to spend a few hours, the day we went there it  was blowing a "howling gale" and at Portland Bill the waves were crashing over the rocks and at times it was difficult to stand on your feet. Taking a break from the weather we went into Portland Castle and enjoyed the audio tour.
