SEVEN FIRES
Today, I will talk about the 'SEVEN FIRES'....
These fires are prophecies from my people, the Ojibway Anishinabe. They have been passed down since times immemorial. Close to the beginning of the time the Ojibway Anishinabe were brought down from the sky above to this earth.
They are called 'seven fires' because they are seven prophecies.
Each of the prophecies came to my people during a course of time, not one after another. Each prophecy was given to a certain Ojibway Anishinabe person during the time of our early existance.
It tells us our past, our present and our future.
I feel they must be included in my website because of the time we are alive. It is an important time for all humans.
It was prophecized that these days would come. All the signs of this drastic time in human life has come into view. Very, very soon all things will unfold as prophecized. In many cultures around the globe, prophecy abound. Only some will listen to these old words from the sacred chosen few of long ago.
Please bear with me as I write these words. I may have to take a break to visualize the events and the words from my elders who talk about these prophecies. I will start with prophecy number one and go chronologically to prophecy number seven.
The first prophet says....
We are warned that if the Anishinabe does not move from this place, we would be destroyed.
The second prophet says...
The third prophet says...
The fourth prophet says...
He says...'You will know the future of the Anishinabe by what this light skinned person wears. If he comes with a face of brotherhood, we will herald a wonderful change for many generations. They will bring new knowledge for us to use and will be very good for the Anishinabe culture. These two nations will be forming a GREAT and MIGHTY nation. The Anishinabe and the Light Skinned ones. The two will be joined by two more. This will be the mightiest nation of ALL. This was conditional if the light-skin carried no weapons.
He also says...Beware if the Light Skin wears the face of DEATH. The face of brotherhood and the face of death very similar and we are told to be careful of each face. The face of DEATH carries a weapon. There will be much suffering of the Anishinabe. They carry greed for the riches of the land. We will know if the rivers are poisoned and we are unable to eat.
The fifth prophet says...
The sixth prophet says...
During this time, Mide elders gathered and brought together the sacred bundles. Scrolls made from the birch bark with the old ceremonies were gathered and hidden in a log, the iron tree. These were hidden in a cliff where nobody could find it. When it would be safe to practise the Midewin, a boy would be born to find this hiding place.
The seventh prophet says...
The Light Skin will be ask to CHOOSE between two roads. If the Light Skin chooses the right road... the seventh is said to light the eight and final fire. This fire is full of peace and love.
If the Light Skin chooses the wrong road... the destruction they brought from afar will return to them and cause alot of death and suffering to ALL Mother Earth children.

We are also told that my generation is the seventh generation. We are told to be careful in these days. Many things will happen to many different races.
Go seek out your own prophecies from your cultures. They are all coming together right now. Educate yourself and take heed the words of the ancients. We must all try to understand what is happening to the earth and what is happening to the Anishinabe. I say this many times, the Anishinabe culture must be preserved and protected for the future of ALL people.
"The Ojibway Anishinabe will rise and follow Megis" It talks about how the Anishinabe has been given to follow the SACRED SHELL of the Midewin Lodge. From this Midewin Lodge, the Anishinabe will gain GREAT strength. This SACRED SHELL (which is still widely used today) will lead the Ojibway Anishinabe to the chosen ground where we will be safe and where it is the sacred ground of the Anishinabe. We are instructed to find a 'turtle shaped island' and this island is connected to the purification of the earth. This island is located at the beginning and ending of our journey. We are told of seven places where we are to stop along the way. We are told that we will know where the chosen land is when we find 'the food thats grows on water'.
The second fire or prophecy will BE when the Anishinabe is camped by a huge body of water. The SACRED SHELL is weak and many have lost this way of the Midewin Lodge. A boy is said to be born to lead the Anishinabe back to the Midewin Lodge. He is said to show the Anishinabe the 'stepping stones' to the FUTURE of the Anishinabe.
The Anishinabe will find his way back to the chosen land. It was a land to the WEST. We are told to move our families there. This is the place where the food grows on the water.
This prophecy was given to two prophets. They are said to come as one prohecy with two versions. This is where they tell us the light skinned race will appear.
That there will be a very hard time with many struggles for ALL Anishinabe. From this fire, a person will emerge with promise of salvation. If the people accept this person of salvation, people will suffer for many generations. It is a false promise. Those who accept this promise of salvation will bring total near death of the Anishinabe.
It will be obvious in this fire that the person from the fifth fire was a false one. Those deceived will take the children away from Anishinabe teachings. It is said the grandchildren will go against the teachings of the grandfathers. During the sixth fire, a severe sickness will come to the Anishinabe. They say a cup of life will be 'almost' totally spilled.
This prophet will come and will be different from all other prophets. A young man who has a 'strange light' in his eyes. The seventh fire will herald a new people. He will lead his people back to the old ways. Many elders will be approached, but many have forgotten the old ways and many elders will not say anything because the new people will not ask them. They tell us the water drum will sound again. A re-birth of the Anishinabe will commence. A sacred fire will be lit.
