WHITE RESERVATION
I was told that a long time ago, the Anishinabe of Lake of the Woods had some strange visitors. These people came from far away and they did not want to go back. I am not sure how many of these men came to live with the Anishinabe people. They were hiding from the white man.
These men were accepted into the Anishinabe communities and protected by the people. These were a strange people that the Anishinabe people have never seen before. It is said that the men were very kind and married into the communities. They lived on many communities around the lake.
Their skin was very dark. Darker than any Indian can ever imagine, unless you are a modern day Pequot.
The stories that have emerged from the mouthes of these visitors have been passed down to some families in and around the First Nation communities on Lake of the Woods.
These people we have come to know as the ‘Mukaytayawss” A derivative of “Mah kah tay Wee awss” Which translated into English means “Black Meat.” Funny eh?
These men were running and hiding out in the Ojibway communities. They did stay the rest of their lives with the Anishinabe people. They even had children with the Anishinabe. Some had many children.
The dates I cannot be sure. It was along time ago, around, the beginning of 1800 or the before that, I cannot be certain.
The off spring of these Mukataywawss are not very visible today. They are scattered all over modern Lake of the Woods First Nation communities. The did not leave their names for they were in fear of their lives. It was customary back then to adopt people into the tribe. The black men were adopted into families and communities and integrated and assimilated into Ojibway society. They were probably given Ojibway Spirit names and adopted into a Clan, which is customary in Ojibway adoptions.
Along time ago, any person would be adopted into Anishinabe culture. Any race. Any other Indian. As long as they followed the Anishinabe way of life. It is told that life would continue if one was adopted by the Anishinabe. Adoptions like this continue to this day.
The Indian Act and its policies on who can be an Indian have tampered our adoption ways. I believe that our old style adoption policy would supercede Canadian and American immigration policies… The door for many suffering and oppressed people from other modern day countries has been shut. We know must follow Canadian government Indian Act Policy on who can be an Indian.
Even when the Dominion of Canada and the Saulteaux Tribe of the Ojibway Indians signed Treaty #3, and even when the whiteman made reservations, they thought the Anishinabe was just that, Anishinabe. Blood from various races was already mixing in 1800s. The Government of Canada thought they were signing a treaty with full blooded Ojibway Indians. The policy that was imposed was according to Indian blood levels, but how can this be when there are little or no full bloods around? The Anishinabe language still beats strong. With modern day technology, our culture cannot die. My people are mixed bloods, mixed with Cree, Sioux, Blacks, whites and even Chinese. We are a mixture of all races, a rainbow of blood. We may even be the Rainbow People in prophecies from various cultures.
We are branded like cattle, horses, dogs, and other livestock. We are branded with Indian Status numbers which descretely hide our Indian blood quarum. It is not visible, it is a system controlled by the Department of Indian Affairs under a numbered system. Under secret codes we are listed according to blood percentages…. Like the American Kennel Club, maybe like the Canadian Kennel Club, maybe even some type of thoroughbred horse organization, or a pure blood cat directory, we are like animals.
Once the blood is at a certain low point, a very low percentage…. The Government will declare that there are no more Indians. They will take our Indian Status away and we will be intregrated into Canadian and American societies. The government will have freed themselves from fiduciary responsibilities for the Indian. Since the blood has been lowered, there are no more Indians, so there is no need to continue with Treaty responsibilities. You can see this day coming, because the Government Of Canada recently handed over tribal and first nation membership codes to the Indian. The Policy on who can be an Indian by the Indian Act, as enforced by the Canadian Government has us listed according to bloodlines. A chattel system. It feels very weird that a modern day civilized country would pigeon hole a people like this. This dirty plot has to be illegal, against international human rights. Once the Indian is gone, the reservations will be gone. Once the reservation are gone, you are left with landless dispossessed people.
It is very difficult, if not impossible to get any kind of financial stabiblity when a person has no land. A person has no collateral... cannot get loans, cannot do anything. Why? This is our land, they simply use law to take it away. I think the land should be returned to the Anishinabe. Not to the Tirbal or First Nation Governments, but, to individual Anishinabe people. I truly believe the Crown Land be returned to the Anishinabe.
The after Treaty signing, the government GAVE away tracts of land to white people, or pioneers, or pilgrims.... while the Indian was forced from his home and locked up on reservations.
There will come a day when the table will turn.
Our region with all the reservations or First Nation communities look pretty calm and peaceful. If you look from another vantage point... you see 'SEGREGATION'. We are separated from the rest of society in many ways. Through the laws of Canada. Through the laws of the province of Ontario. It is quite obvious that SEGREGATION lives and breathes heavily in modern day, industrial, civilized, leader of human rights Canada. Are they afraid we will dilute their white blood? Mix with the White man to erase their full blooded white status? Hmmmm.... I think the full blooded white is a fast disappearing, mixing with other races.
It is a slap in the face for Canada, it looks like South Africa.
After my people signed peace and land treaties, the Canadian and American governments forced my people on to government made reservations. Most of these Indian reserves are communal in nature. No one person can own land, it belongs to the people.
In fact, the governments of North America has created mini communist style communities. We live in communal style everything. According to the Indian Act, this is how we are supposed to live.
Indian Reservations are islands of communist states within a democratic society. This was all created by the white man.
As history and prophecy tell us. We have survived for thousands of years and we will continue to live, simply because of the fact that we carry Anishinabe blood.
The governments can take away our Indian Status, and ‘believe’ that they erase the Indian or Anishinabe. But things have a strange way of working out. My people have been categorized in every conceivable way by the white man and his policies. The Anishinabe are labelled as 1. Status Indians. 2. Non-Status Indians. 3. Metis 4. On- reserve Status Indian 5. Off-reserve Status Indian 6. Treaty Indians …… it is working fine for the government to have the various sanctions split and weakened. A simple divide and conquer mentality they abuse.
One thing is certain. Once the Indian Status is removed. All the categorizations will be removed. There will only be one Indian, the Anishinabe. In fact, when the government decides to pull the plug on their imaginary Indian lines, they are in fact strengthening the Indian. The Indian will outnumber the white man. Democracy will still reign and the population will comprise of Anishinabe. The majority will rule. There own people will be a minority.
If you know how a black man looks, you may see his genes in the modern day anishinabe of the any Indian Reserve on Lake of the Woods. Maybe some curly hair… a rounded nose… some of the darker skin is around in some families more than others.
It is told that these men came from the Southern United States. They escaped from slavery during a war. Maybe it is the War of 1812, who knows.
It is very strange to find this out. I look around the anishinabe to see any black man features and can see. Now that I know the story of the black slaves, I can see those features.
Please help FREE the Anishinabe. Destroy the racist Indian Act and the Indian Reservation system. Help in the creation of the Anishinabe Sovereign State. Even better, help to re-instate all sovereign Native American Nations, from the southern tip of South America to the Alaska in the north.
If history, prophecy and karma speak correctly, White Reservations will pop up everywhere. Can you imagine a "French Tribe of Whites Reservation"? Or a "the Canadian Band of British Whites Reservation?" Or how about "The Canadian Spanish Tribe Reservation"? This set comes complete with communal land and no economy.
