Welcome to the students at William R. Sullivan School,
Phoenix, Arizona
Teacher coordinator: Carolyn Redendo
Our introduction is coming a little late thought we are so excited to join this international project.

We are a group of students from the ages of nine and ten and also thirteen. We are working together after school and during our lunch recess with Mrs. Redendo. We like to play Super Nintendo 64, Moncala, Pokemon Cards, Monopoly, basketball, and baseball.

We are from Phoenix, Arizona.  We are on the west side of Phoenix where it is very warm.  It barely rains and yesterday we had rain for the second time this year.  Phoenix's location is latitude 34 N and longitude 112 W.  Our population of our school district area per the 1990 census is 12,512.

We go to William R. Sullivan School that has 951 students from the grades of kindergarten to 8th grade. There are five classes of kindergarten, first and second. There are four classes of third, fourth, fifth, and sixth.  Our 7th and 8th grade students change classes every fifty minutes.

Our school area has two grocery stores, one factory, six fast food restaurants, one shoe store, two drug stores, one meat store, three bread stores, one laundry store, one doughnut shop, one cemetery, one flea market area, one liquor store, four clothes store, one dance place, and a post office. In math we are learning about degrees, area, perimeter, and place value with packs, flats, skinnies, and bits.  We are excited to be a part of your group.

We will be sending pictures and other items soon.

Your friends,
The Sullivan Desert Kids, Phoenix, Arizona Students
