Selecting Your Iguana

When selecting an Iguana look for one that is alert, yet calm when you put your hand into the cage. He should have clear and bright eyes. No sores, abrasives or any other marks on his body. The structure of his body should be firm, not skin and bones. A wrinkled belly and shrivled belly can mean that he is sick. Make sure that the living conditions are clean. A dirty cage can cause bacteria that creates diseases that spread. Hold the Iguana and get the feel of him.

If you are afraid of him then dont get him. They can sense when you have fear, I believe. At least Dawg can with my hubby LOL
