Herp Heaven
This page is dedicated to all the adorable, lovable, pet herps that have passed away and gone up to that "Basking Spot In The Sky". This is my little way of ensuring that they are always remebered.
"Iggy"
The Green Iguana
Iggy was the first pet I have ever lost, so it was kinda tough. I got him in January 1999. I had mostly been
into snakes, but decided I wanted to expand my horizons a bit...So I went out and got some info on various
lizards and decided an iguana would be my next "little freind". He was great...Sure he would whip me and nip
my finger a bit sometimes, but I think he was just trying to act tough...After a minute he would calm down and
spend hours on my shoulder. He instantly became one of my favorite pets, but it was not meant to be. On the
afternoon of February 21st, 1999, Iggy passed away, apparently from a fall. I came home to find him laying
on his back at the bottom of the cage. He had been climbing on his favorite tree limbs and vines in his cage and
took a bad step. Although I only had him for a few short weeks, Iggy was one of my favorites and It was
sad to lose him like that.
Goodbye Iggy...We'll miss you.

Ball Python Lair
"Redcap"
The Sumatran Red Blood Python
Recently I lost my little Redcap, a baby red blood python from Sumatra. She
and her sister came to my
wife and I in December of 1998 as Christmas gifts to each other. Unfortrunately, my little Redcap soon
became very ill and soon developed severe neurological problems. Finally, after trying absolutely every thing
we could think of, we were forced to have her put to sleep. I only had her for a couple of months, but I miss
her dearly. Such a gentle little snake. Goodbye Redcap, we miss you.

The Serpent's Tongue
"Balo"
The Ball Python
This is Balo. He was a very gentle snake and would always slither right up my hand when I placed it in his
terrarium. He was our first snake we ever had. We got him May 8, 1999 and he passed away June 25,
1999.
He was very stressed and our hearts were broken. He will truly be missed and always be remembered.

This may seem corny to some people, but I know a lot of people out there feel the same way I do about my pets...they
are family. If you have lost a pet, and would like a memorial for him/her, E-mail me with the story, pics, anything...
I would be glad to post your story.
