| A place in the sun, by the oven, fireplace, on the lounge, or on the bed. | Rainy and cold weather, not having a place to get warm. |
| Having another cat or dog to play with, playing with you. | A lonely isolated life. |
| A clean dry litter box, litter box that is accessible at all times. | No litter box or a dirty one. Having to go outside to relieve itself so matter what the weather. |
| Being brushed and combed gently, when they feel like it. | Being combed when they are not in the mood, having clumps of matted hair removed, being patted the same as you would a dog. |
| A clean, glossy coat. | Dry, scaly skin, dull or greasy fur, ticks, fleas and mites. |
| Catching mice, chasing chickens, scaring birds, playing with crumpled paper. | Not being able to do any of those things and being kept like a decorative ornament. |
| Eating at the same time that you do with the occasion tidbit. | Being fed on an irregular basis or in dirty dishes, food too hot, too cold, spoiled. |
| The quiet peaceful life, friendly and soft spoken sounding voices. | Noise, yelling kids, machinery, thunderstorms. |
| Sleeping undisturbed for as long as they like. | Having their dreams disturbed or interupted, being chased from their sleeping place. |
| Being able to do just as they please. | Being told they cant do something. |
