    •  Freelance editorial services        1979-present
      Copy editing, proofreading, editing in various subject areas including nursing and medicine, psychology, social sciences, science and technology, and general trade.
    • J.B. Lippincott Co.
      Copy Editor      July 1976-Dec. 1979

      Edited nursing, medical and allied health textbooks, working with authors, artists, production department, and printers. Duties included both editing for grammar, spelling, consistency and punctuation and substantive editing; proofreading; indexing; coordinating production from mss. to bluelines; working with free-lancers and keeping books on schedule.
    • American Academy of Political & Social Science
      Copy Editor     Nov. 1974-July 1976

      Edited and produced a bimonthly scholarly journal, including correspondence with special editors, maintaining production schedule, editing and proofreading, indexing each issue, and overseeing typesetting and printing. Attended and handled transcripts of the annual meetings, published in the July issue, and occasionally wrote abstracts for articles. Also coordinated production of a five-year index.
