Biography
This poor couple,
dressed in rags and living in a run-down old cottage in terrible need of
repair, was encountered by Sir Graham on
his journey through Daventry. They were friendly, but had nothing to offer
him, as they didn't even have food for themselves. Feeling sorry for them,
Sir Graham decided to give them the magical bowl he had found earlier.
By saying the word fill, it would always fill up with a delicious
stew. In return for this precious gift, the woodcutter offered his finest
possession, a beautiful fiddle, to Sir Graham. This fiddle was later needed
to retrieve the Magical Shield, one of the Three Treasures of Daventry.
It is not known, but highly probable that Sir Graham after completing his
mission and becoming the new king of Daventry, as one of his first tasks
made sure that the woodcutter and his wife were helped to live a better
life without poverty.
Note:
In the SCI version of the game, the condition of the couple was even worse,
as the woodcutter's wife was very ill.
