Gabbard, Ray (Swing) Ray Gabbard was born in Idaho,
where he also graduated from college. After graduating from Arizona
State University he took over severakl roles in opera. He has sung
Fenton in Falstaff, Prince ORlofsky in Die Fledermaus
and Ernesto in Don Pasquale. He is no strange to musical theater
either. In the US he plaued Matt in The Fantasticks and Frederick
in The Pirates of Penzence. By performing the role of Raoul
in Das Phantom der Oper (Hamburg) he is making his European
debut.

Gaines, Davis (Raoul, The Phantom) returns to Broadway from
the west coast productions of The Phantom of the Opera. Playing
the role for over two years in L.A., he became that city's longest-running
Phantom. Mr. Gaines opened the San Francisco production where he earned
the Bay Area Critics Award for Best Actor, and has now performed the

Gaschen, David (Hairdresser, Jeweler) a native of Lubbock,
Texas, is honored to be making his Broadway debut in Phantom.
David comes directly from performing as the Phantom alternate in the
Hamburg, Germany, and Basel, Switzerland, productions. He thanks God

Gates, Joelle (Meg Giry) comes directly from the Broadway company
of The Phantom of the Opera where she played the role of Meg
Giry. Favorite regional credits include West Side Story, On the
Town, Phantom (Belladova), La Cage Aux Folles, Chess, and Kiss Me
Kate. Joelle is a recent graduate of The Julliard School. Thanks

Gerhart, Michael (M. Reyer, Swing) Michael Gerhart appeared
on Broadway in My Fair Lady. National Tours include The
Who's Tommy and Chess. He appeared in The Music of Andrew Lloyd
Webber and was Tony in a European tour of West Side Story.
He is a proud father of two and thanks fellow performer, and wife,
Becky for her unending love and support.

Giammanco, Leslie (Wardrobe Mistress/Confidante, Swing, Page)
comes to B'way after spending two years on the second national tour.
She has sung with the Minnesota Opera, New Jersey State Opera and
Amato Opera, and made her Carnegie Hall debut with the Manhattan Philharmonic.
In addition, she holds a private vocal studio in NYC. Thanks to Marion!

Giffune, Gary (Flunky/Stagehand aka Solo Dancer) danced with
The American Ballet Theatre for six years. He began his career as
a gymnast competing successfully in the New York State Championships.
He has toured with various dance companies in Europe, Asia and the
Soviet Republic. Gary has performed with the Arizona Ballet; The Atlanta
Ballet; The New Jersey Ballet and The Oakland Ballet. He is pleased
to be making his Broadway debut.

Gladstone, Susan (Ballet Chorus, Ballet Swing) began studying
ballet at the age of five. At 15 she moved to New York to continue
her training at the School of American Ballet. Susan joined Pacific
Northwest Ballet in 1985 and danced with them for seven years, three
of those as a soloist. Susan was born in Los Angeles, CA.

Gleason, Tim Martin (Raoul) The Phantom of the Opera marks Tim’s Broadway debut! Tim comes to Broadway directly from the third national tour where he also played the role of Raoul. He received a BS in psychology from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and went off into the world of business for four years before taking the plunge into acting. Since then, Tim has had the great fortune of originating several roles for the stage, including the role of Romeo in Terrence Mann’s Romeo & Juliet: The Rock Opera at Goodspeed Opera House and the role of Adam Gernstein (Helen Hayes nomination) in The Rhythm Club at the acclaimed Signature Theatre. Other regional credits include Henrik in A Little Night Music, Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods, Tommy in The Who’s Tommy, Anthony in Sweeney Todd, Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Tony in West Side Story. Most recently, Diana appeared as Jean in Brigadoon! at the
North Shore Music Theatre and Casa Manana, where she served as Associate
choreographer to Greg Ganakas, recreating Agnes DeMille's original
choreography. In recent years, she has proudly served as an assistant
to Ms. DeMille on the ballets, The Other, The Informer, and other
projects for American Ballet Theatre.

Gray, Kevin (Raoul, The Phantom) returns to the cast of Phantom after creating the
role of Valentin opposite John Rubinstein in the Harold Prince/Terence
McNally/John Kander/Fred Ebb musical version of Kiss of the Spiderwoman
for the New Musicals series at Purchase, New York. Mr. Gray first
came to the attention of New York theatregoers in the 1985 revival
of Stephen Sondheim's Pacific Overtures in which he received
rave reviews for his portrayal of Kayama. Subsequently, he has been
seen on Broadway in Chu Chem (as the Prince) and Off-Broadway
in The Baker's Wife, at the New York Shakespeare Festival in
The Knife and The Death of Garcia Lorca, and in the Young Playwright's
Festival at Playwright's Horizons. He also appeared in the pre-Broadway
revival of The Night of the Iguana with Eileen Brennan and
Jeanne Moreau and created the title role in Billy Brown's Colorados
at the Mount Gretna Playhouse. Mr. Gray's regional theatre credits
include Romance Language at the Mark Taper Forum; The Real Thing at
Portland Stage Company; Irma la Douce at the Goodspeed Opera House;
and The Tempest, Richard III and All's Well That Ends Well at the
Boston Shakespeare Company. In 1987, he sang the lead in Villa-Lobos'
Magdalena at Alice Tully Hall opposite George Rose, Judy Kaye, Faith
Esham and John Raitt; the cast album of this much-acclaimed event
was released on RCA Victor records. Among Mr. Gray's other musical
credits are Henrik in A Little Night Music, Macheath in The Threepenny
Opera, the Caliph in Kismet and Lun Tha in a national tour of The
King and I with Stacy Keach. On television, Mr. Gray has guest-starred
on "Miami Vice" and "The Equalizer" and played recurring roles on
"Ryan's Hope" and "The Guiding Light" and on film co-starred with
Robby Benson in "White Hot". Mr. Gray was a recipient of the 1988-1989
National Institute for Music Theater (NIMT) Award.

Phantom in both the Toronto and Canadian National productions, including

(1994), televised Boston Pops, Montreal Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra,

Guiguet, Kristina Marie (Mme. Giry) guest-performed Madame
Giry on Broadway in '93 and '94. International credits include appearances
with symphonies/chamber music ensembles across Canada and Europe,
and on many radio broadcasts; extensive opertic credits include Ariadne
(Composer), Dido and Aeneas (Dido), and Return of Ulysses (Penelope).
Kristina specializes in 20th century music, and founded Calgary's
Music New Space Society whole teaching singing at the University of
Calgary. And she can't resit volunteering for enviromental work in
public parks.

Gustern, Joe (Joseph Buquet) is a native New Yorker and a
graduate of Julliard. Operatically he has performed from NY to Hong
Kong. Musical comedy is his first love, having appeared over 40 productions
including Man of La Mancha, Fiddler on the Roof, Gigi and the
Off-Broadway production of The Chosen.
