I did many video projects in high school, finding creative ways to get
around writing papers by doing short video movies. These projects,
like all of mine, were short on story and long on special effects. It
was much more fun doing bad special effects than bad dialogue.
I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1994 with a bachelors
degree in broadcasting. While I was there I did two independent study
programs in which I made movies. The first,
Batguy, was a silly project that I produced, directed, and starred
in (not by choice). The second was a science-fiction movie called
Lo-Tec. I had more regular help and a larger
cast and managed to stay mostly behind the camera.
