 ISAAK

Inspired by the Rembrandt painting, The Sacrifice of Isaac, this penultimate personal reflection on patriarchy is a strange mixture of reality and fantasy - meditative exercise on one young man's quest to exorcise the combined spell of colonial order and patriarchal dominion hovering his existence. In a way a modern-day parable replete with magic and metaphor, it turns out to be an unnerving, revealing confessional on the universal fixation on and fascination with the paternal archetypes and the primacy of the male force.

Direction: Nick Deocampo
