 Mother Ignacia - Ang Uliran

A group of native women establishes a religious community dedicated to the service of God in 17th-century Manila under colonial rule. Its foundress is a Chinese mestiza from Binondo named Ignacia del Espiritu Santo. Against the will of the King of Spain and with little support from church authorities, the congregation makes a stand for what they believe in and defies attempts to stifle their aspiration.
