Pot Tutorial
This was done in PSP 6
This tutorial uses
selections
download here, layers and Eye Candy. Remember
to save
your work often. I lost count
of the times I wish I had
remembered to do that.
Download the selections and unzip them
using winzip.
Then place them into a folder where you can
find them when
you want them.
Open a New Image, 400X400,
transparent, 16 mil colors. Add
a new layer, name
it base. Now go to Selections / Load from disk
(find the folder you
unzipped your downloaded selections to.
Open the
gbase.sel
Fill the selection with white / or the color of your choice.
Deselect, Click on
your mover tool and postition the base near
the bottom of your
image, centered.
Click on the Slection Tool..... Ellipse...feather 0....Antialias checked.
Go to Edit.... Cut...
Then Paste as a new layer. Drag this layer Under
your Base layer.
You will have to reposition
this new layer. Deselect.
Now click on the base
layer...Now click on the Selection tool
Circle...Feather 0
... Antialias Checked. Now make a circle
centered on your base.
Go to Edit..Cut.. leave this area selected.
Add a new layer, name
it Gray....Go to Selections/Modify/Expand by 3
and flood fill with
a light gray. Drag this layer under your Base layer.
On this Gray layer...
make another circle slightly smaller and offset.
Go to Edit / Cut.
Deselect.
Click on the base layer.
Click on the Slection tool.. Ellipse..feather 0
Antialias checked.
Make an Ellipse around the top of the base picking up
the lip of the base,
then click on the lip to select it,
Add a layer and name it cutout.
Now turn off all layers
except the base and the cutout. Merge Visable,
and rename this layer
Base. Select the base layer again as you did before.
Now add another layer,
name it cutout and
apply these settings.
Now merge the base
and the cutout layer and rename Base.
Now go to Image/Effects/Inner
Bevel.
With the base layer
still selected... Go to Eye Candy / Glass
I applied these settings..but
play around and experiment and
have some fun with
it. Try using different colored glass effects.
Deselect.
