What is The Singletrack Mudpack?
The Singletrack Mudpack is a mountain bike club dedicated to reaching women who want to give mountain biking a try, expand their off-road horizons or just ride with other like minded people. Mountain biking has traditionally been a male dominated sport. We want to make it easier for women to find compatible riding partners and patient advice to help them learn the skills and enjoyment of mountain biking.

We provide a supportive atmosphere, mechanical and technical expertise, group rides for every level, and advice on everything from buying a bike to racing it. The Singletrack Mudpack is about helping women experience the fun and fitness of mountain biking.
As a member of the Singletrack Mudpack you will receive the following benefits:

  • notification of events and meetings
  • $10 discount on a Bicycle Nova Scotia racing license
  • members may purchase a club jersey
  • voting privileges at club meetings
*Membership packages are available while quantities last.
Packages must be picked up at our weekly club rides.
Individual membership with Bicycle Nova Scotia is encouraged. There are two types of BNS membership:
General Membership $30; gives you 24hr insurance coverage for whenever you are on your bike.
Racing Membership $72 (senior, ages 19+) gives you 24hr insurance coverage and insurance while you race your mountain bike at sanctioned events throughout the world.

INDEMNITY AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration of my being permitted to participate in the events, activities and / or functions (hereafter referred to as "the events") offered or organized by The Singletrack Mudpack (the organization hereafter referred to as "the club") I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, release and forever discharge the club from any and all lawsuits or actions, claims or demands by reason of any damage, death, injury or loss to myself or to my property arising from participation in the events, notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the club.
I agree to save, hold harmless and indemnity the club from and against all lawsuits, claims, actions, costs or expenses in respect to any death, injury, loss or damage to myself or my property however so caused arising out of, or in connection with, the events and whether they have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the club.
I recognize and acknowledge that there are inherent risks and hazards involved in participating in the events and in the sport and recreation of mountain biking, including but not exclusively, such hazards as sudden changes in weather, falls on steep or hazardous terrain, failure of equipment, the possibility of becoming lost as well as other hazards of bicycling and other pursuits of the club and I agree to bear all costs of rescue and / or medical attention rendered to me personally arising from the events.

I have read and understood this indemnity and release and accept it's terms entirely. I acknowledge that I am of the full nineteen years and legally competent to sign this release: that I have read and understood the preceding statements and that I have signed this document of my own free will.
