The free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:23
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Ok, let me try to explain, this verse says "we have all sinned," so there is no way we can get to heaven by the good things we do. So, we need to ADMIT we have sinned to God.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt beleive in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Jesus Christ is the main person of the Bible. He came to earth as a baby to die on a cross for ALL sinners (that includes you and me). We need to BELIEVE and ACCEPT what the Bible teaches us about His death on the cross, His burial, and His raising up from the grave.
CONFESS your sins to the Lord and ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you. (John 1:12)
If you do Step one, two and three, CONGRATULATIONS "By grace you have been saved through faith, and that NOT OF YOURSELVES; it is the gift of GOD, NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
Hmmm...well you have been waiting haven't you??? Well that is the way to get the most faboulus FREE gift!!! Now, look....it didn't say you might be saved...it said you WILL be saved!!! If you confess with your mouth and beleive in your heart that God has risen Jesus from the dead you WILL be saved....no maybe, if, ands, or buts.
Now you are saying....but God can't against...I can not understand it..... Well....if you don't understand what is so great about being saved here it is: You have The Holy Spirit enter your Life, you will have peace and Joy. Things won't become Very easy...you will still have problems, but You will have God watching out for you and he will Provide, just ask with an earnest heart....beleive me...he Provides!!!!
Now if you meant you don't understand God at all and that there is no way He can exist...well a little verse that has helped me with this very Problem.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine Heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Now I know it is a faith trip.....but you just have to have it...There is no way to understand God...I mean us human beings that use only 10% of our full brain Compasity think we can even come close to understanding God??? Well if you have a scientific mind that has to explain stuff....here is a simple explination why God MUST exist as stated by (NAme to come later....Bad in History class...can't memorize names *S*).... Everything has something before it to explain it.....well if you go back far enough there is no possible answere...well that is God.
