When I lay down each night to sleep,
I pray our love for each other God will keep.
Guide our hearts together every day,
Talking out our problems along the way.
And in the morning when I wake,
God please grant me this wish that I make,
I pray he will always take good care of you,
Filling your life with love and happiness too.
I'm thankful for all the love you've given me,
Your caring, thoughtfullness, and letting me be free,
I could never tell you all I want to do or say,
I pray the Lord will grant me another day.
You are the one I love with all my heart,
From your side I will never part,
I pray the Lord will keep you in his care,
That is what I want most of all,
