James Wilson JONES

12. James Wilson JONES was born on 22 January 1865 in Tazewell County, Virginia. His family appeared on the 1870 ,1880 and 1900 Census in East River, Mercer County, West Virginia. He was married to Rosa Belle DUNAGAN on 5 August 1886 in Mercer County, West Virginia. He was a Farmer in 1900 in Oakvale, Mercer County, West Virginia. He was a Laborer at a Saw Mill in 1910 when his family moved to Snake Run, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. In 1920 he was a Farmer in Muddy Creek Road, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. He died on 27 March 1953 in Sweet Springs, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. He was buried in 1953 in McElhenney Cemetery, Greenbrier County, West Virginia.

13. Rosa Belle DUNAGAN was born on 2 July 1870 in Mercer County, West Virginia and appeared on the 1880 Census in Mercer County, West Virginia. She died on 10 April 1940 in Alderson, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. She was buried in McElhenney Cemetery, Greenbrier County, West Virginia.

i. Elisha Pluckett JONES was born in March 1889 in West Virginia. He Married Agnes (surname unknown) and then Margaret (surname unknown).

ii. Gertrude JONES was born in December 1890. She married C.W. MEADOR.

iii. Andrew Jackson JONES was born in June 1892. He married Florence HISER, then married Virgie Frances (30 May 1903 - 17 February 1983; surname unknown). He died in 1969.

iv. William Jennings Bryan JONES a.k.a. Bill, was born in August 1895. He married Nora COHENOUR.

v. Nancy J. JONES was born in June 1899. She married Golf CALES.

vi. Marietta JONES was born in 1900. She married Worley DALE.

vii. Matilda Z. JONES was born 9 July 1902. She married Paris Singleton JONES son of William Ballard JONES and Lilly A. COOPER. She died May 1982.

viii. Maxim Gomez JONES was born 10 December 1904. On 31 October 1941 he married Jesse Hambrick (20 February 1926 - 1991; daughter of Delano and Rackel BROWN). Max served in W.W.II; he died 11 November 1970.

x. Virginia Louisa JONES, aka "Ted," was born in 5 November 1910. She married Kelley MEADOW and then married Bart FORD. She died 30 July 2000.

xii. Warren JONES died at about 10 years of age.

xiii. Sam JONES died at about 10 years of age.

xiv. Enoth JONES died as an infant.
