He purchased 50 acres on 11 October 1905 in Ingleside, Mercer County, West Virginia. He resided at Ritchie Street in 1910 in Princeton, Mercer County, West Virginia and was a wagoner, owning his own business. He died on 1 July 1914 and was buried in Mt. Horeb Cemetery, Princeton, Mercer County, West Virginia.
