Abandoned Pools - ROXY - Samuel Gibson
“What’s that thing Tommy’s fiddling with on stage? I don’t know, but it sounds awesome!”
Forgetting where you are at the moment and lost in the music is where you end up with Abandoned Pools’ live performances. Having such a tight set up and synchronized beats, their album, ‘Humanistic’ is no match to their live shows. The music is so much more energetic and uplifting for the mesmerized crowd of eyes and ears and very eclectic with neither a yawn nor a stale moment. Just pure exciting entertainment with little surprises like covering Bjork’s, ‘Army of Me’, so well done. Tommy Walter is a genius talent with so much to say and do for the audience. He has a voice very different, yet excitingly satisfying for the listener. He takes his vocals places that have never been heard before as well as the instruments and thing-a-mabobbers all hooked into each other with wires going here and there. It shows that we are viewing professionals and not your average band.
“This guy knows what he’s doing.”
Traumatized as the show ends, there are no better performances that top Abandaned Pools. Def to the ear, the sounds still ring in the head hours after and immediately, ‘Humanistic’ is popped in the Cd player and listened to all over again. Again, you forget where you are and are lost in the music. We would like to thank Abandoned Pools for the never forgetful, wonderful performance and we look forward for the next show.

Abandoned Pools - cont. - Laura DeFelice
Some can easily put emotions down and share the expressions of an intense experience but this one is harder than we thought. Abandoned Pools had the energy and power to control the stage and audience for over 1 1/2 hours until finally the venue needed to shut out the fans. The performance from ALL band members was a definite success having captured the value of great music and a great live show. Honesty and admiration for their focus and obvious knowledge of warm responses from the fans, ABP is hitting bigger then anyone expected from the music industry to date. AB Pools is very welcomed into the lives of those wasting time on vague, so-so shoe gazers. Go. Just go see Abandoned Pools. It is well worth anyone's time and definitly an awakening.

What has been noticed is that Abandoned Pools is very close to comparison to many other bands but we rather say Abandoned Pools is unique and crisp in their own sound. Tommy Walter, the brain and energy driven excitment behind the whole ABP project, has set a new standard of ideas; being completely honest to the point that confusion and idealism make an honest living. It's not so bad to be unsure of what is happening around you or whether or not you actually enjoy it; this kind of thought can create such fulfillment for others that it may become therapy and demand release. Fans that adore Tommy adore his admiration for his music and poetic words.
