Welcome to my photo journal documenting the assembly of the Pocher brand kit of the 1932 Rolls Royce Sedanca Coupé, page 5

The next page in the instruction manual is the radiator and grille (you would think that the brake shoes would be next, but...). Here is the housing and one of the grille slats.

There were significant flaws in the housing that could not be polished out. The piece is chrome plated steel and the amount of polishing needed to remove these blemisheses would remove the plating as well. I was not prepared to invest in having the piece replated or risk having it damaged by the plating shop. So, I resolved to live with the piece the way it was.

Anyway, here go all the pieces that make up the radiator and grille assembly. The slats each had a slight bend and a twist to them which was the result of the manufacturing process. Fortunately, they're made from chrome plated brass so they were relatively easy to bend with my fingers.

The slats were simply placed into slits on the front of the radiator.

The Rolls-Royce badge on the front of the radiator was a flat piece with the details engraved. To paint this, I simply painted the entire badge to allow paint to flow into the engraved areas then, while it was still wet, I rubbed off the paint on the front with ordinary paper. This left paint in the engraved areas and, after gluing on to the front of the radiator, the result was what you see below.

This is what the complete radiator looks like.
