Rules

This tournement has a twist to it. It will take place in teams of three (this means to join you will have to arrange two other friends/people to join your team). The teams will be randomly drawn against one another to battle ( ie, team 1 vs. team2) and the losing team will be knocked out of the tournament.

The members of team 1 will be randomly drawn against the members of team 2. For example: team 1 is battling team 2. Member A of team 1 has been drawn against member C of team 2 to battle (and so on). The team with the most wins (2 out of 3 or more) will win and proceed to the next round where they will battle a different team in the same way.

After the final two teams battle and the winning team is announced the winning team will then have to fight against each other in a league style to decide the ultimate winner. The members of the winning team will battle there team mates once and the team mate with the most wins is the champion. In the event of a tie the process will be repeated until one member is triumphant. For example if team mate A has two wins, and team mate B has two wins they will fight each other for the championship.

General rules:

1. Only pokémon from R/B/Y may be used, this is similar for R/B/Y moves and stats. This means no G/S /C tradebacks and all moves must be legal.

2. Sorry but Mewtwo and Mew aren't allowed.

3. The sleep clause is active, this means that only one pokémon at a time may be put to sleep by you and your enemy. So as long as one of your opponent's pokémon has been put to sleep by you you cannot sleep anymore of his/her pokémon until it wakes up. There is no limit on the number of pokémon being paralyzed or frozen.

4. No evasion / accuracy decreasing moves are permitted as this makes battles very tedious and slow.

5. If one of your team mates is more than 15 minutes late that particular team mate will lose their scheduled match but the remaining two team mates can still battle and attempt to get the team through to the next rounds (only two wins are needed to proceed).

6. Only a certain amount of places are available in this competiton so it is first come first served. I will try to allow as many entries as I can however I don't want the competition to get too big that I can't control it.

7. If you explode on your last pokémon and your opponent's last pokemon you lose! However if you explode on your opponent's last pokémon but you have more than one pokemon left this is allowed.

9. All entries must be in by January 25th 2002.
