How a polar bear got red underwear!
Bob Anderson is the photographer who created the famous Stanfield's polar bear in red underwear. He created the picture by digitally merging (joining) two separate pictures. Bob started with a photograph of a polar bear standing in the Arctic snow. Then he built a stuffed model of the polar bear and made a set of long underwear for the model. After photographing his model, he scanned both pictures into his computer. Bob then took the two digital images and used his computer to join them together into one image! Pretty cool, huh?
