NOVA SCOTIA FOR NOVA SCOTIANS ... TAKE BACK CONTROL OF YOUR GOVERNMENT ... AWAY FROM POLITICAL PARTIES... AND THE RICH AND POWERFUL WHO CONTROL THEM

WHO AND WHAT WE ARE

There are those of you reading this who are wondering who we are. ( And, we KNOW what you politicians and parties think of US. )

We started out as just a "think tank", if you will. There's a pretty good cross section of occupations represented . Collectively, we have people with experience and expertise in the fields of banking and finance, education, media, insurance, investigations, computers, various branches of the military and, suprisingly enough ~ government insiders. In addition we have a number of other "experts" in various specialized fields we can call on.

We are just like you. People who have become so fed up with the lies and manipulation of the facts by politicians and governments – past and present – that we finally decided to do something .

People in Nova Scotia have traditionally  been at the mercy of the various PROGRESSIVE CONSERVATIVE and LIBERAL politicians who have formed past governments in this province. These were/are the authors of all of this province's problems that exist today.

The reality of  the situation is that there is no one else to blame.

The ordinary citizens of this province are not responsible for the debts that have been incurred in their name.

The people who are primarily responsible are the various lawyers, doctors, and teachers,   who have run for government  - representing either the Liberals or  the Progressive Conservative PARTIES.

Those two parties and their various members are responsible for the debt – some 12,000,000,000  (billion) dollars ~ and counting.

If this province were a “third world”  country  ( we’re getting there ) , the people would long ago have rioted in the streets and  removed  some of the leaders we have had in Nova Scotia.

People in Nova Scotia are docile by nature and most of them  (we’re not ) always react quite politely and grumble with mild annoyance when various politicians pick their pockets in the name of “government” .

Nova Scotians have come to believe there’s not much they can do to stop the politicians and government from running roughshod over us all. WE DON'T AGREE ! YOU stop political parties by not supporting them.DON'T join them ~ they only want whatever money they can get out of you. DON'T VOTE FOR ANY PARTY ~ their onlyaim is to achieve a majority government that is nothing more than an "elected dictatorship" . When that happens YOU have already lost any power over YOUR GOVERNMENT you may have had ~ YOU become THEIR servants ~ instead of the other way 'round.

Both of the aforementioned  Progressive Conservatives and Liberals have counted on this docile attitude for years  and have used it against the rest of us who pay the bills.

We are a group whose philosophy of government is growing by leaps and bounds as people wake up to the fact they have never had anything resembling democracy, let alone good government.  Contrary to what you might think, we are not adherents to any political party.  Not NDP. Not Liberal. Not Progressive Conservative.  None.

Why don’t we believe in or support any of those parties?

If you’re a Nova Scotian, look around you today and ask why your taxes - at all levels - have been continually going up. ASK YOURSELF what you got for that tax money.

The additional revenues that are continually demanded sure as hell aren’t paying for your roads, health care, education and all of the things that one would normally expect . Recently, Wayne Coady said it best - " ... our tax dollars aren't going for social programs ... they're mainly being used to prop up socialites in their fancy lifestyle! ". There is a BIG difference between the two.

No,YOUR MONEY is going out in large measure to support political party friends  on a direct and indirect basis.

We know of one MLA  who used your tax dollars to pay for  $13,000. dollars worth of fertilizer for his fields.

Or, better yet, how about the wife of a former Premier who used to "help" at one of the foodbanks and would take home arm loads of canned goods for her own use? How miserable are these people ? This miserable !

If you think it's not possible that politicians could be so callous or greedy, here's another one for ya. During the period of the last budget announcement ( April, 2002) we all heard or read the story of the mother in Yarmouth who was concerned that the Province's health care system intended to drop her young daughter off the list to have her special food paid for - food required to keep her alive. These miserable SOB's were cutting at ANY expense to make themselves look good. It was only after the child's mother went to the media and public outcry caused such a furor that this scab government relented. Granted, the special food was $600 a month to keep this girl alive - but her condition was terminal within that year. And if you consider that this same government was cited in the press recently for spending over $20,000 for coffee and donuts on itself, every taxpayer in Nova Scotia should be wondering what kind of low-lifes these people in government really are. HOW MISERABLE ???

There are incidents too numerous to mention here but you should be able to get the picture of  what we’re all about. WE'RE ON YOUR SIDE !

IT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER IF WE COULD GET YOU TO COME OVER TO YOUR SIDE AS WELL.

We hope that you have finally come to the same conclusions and will get out and vote in full force when the next provincial election rolls around. But  VOTE  for  whichever independent candidate  is running in your area.  Don’t vote for a Liberal or Conservative who is really only in it for the money. These people have had it cushy  for much too long. If there's any doubt in your mind, THINK of this. Why would any lawyer leave a lucrative law practice to go into politics ? Because politics is a helluva lot more lucrative - that's why !

Any  independent  who runs for office will be doing it because they see the need for a better way and want to improve their communities.

YOU  might want to consider running for office.  God knows, anybody could do a better job than most of the liars, thieves and drunks we’ve had the dubious privilege of supporting so far.

All it takes for you or anyone to run is a $100 fee to register with the province’s  electoral office – and  your nomination papers signed by five of your neighbor’s and friends in the area where you intend to run.

There is a little more detail than this to complete the process – go to our "LINKS" page  and click on the third link down to get all of the details on how you,too can become an independent candidate .
