What are Polymers ?

You’re most likely already familiar with polymers. Polymers were first introduced in the 1970’s & are currently most widely used in disposable baby diapers. the tiny crystals found behind the lining of the diaper soak up hundreds of times their size in moisture, retaining it away from the baby’s skin.

Much development has occurred in recent years, & polymers are now used in agriculture. The polymer approved for soil use is completely non-toxic, & not harmful to the environment in any way. The productive life of polymers in the soil is at least 5 years, & typically reaches 7, depending upon conditions.

Polymers used for agricultural needs are tiny crystals that are placed below the surface of the soil, at the root level of the plant. These crystals soak up & retain hundreds times their weight in water & other nutrients, managing it in the root zone of the plant. The plant roots grow right through the polymers, taking moisture & nutrients as needed. Over 95% of the water retained by the polymer is released to the plant.
