Tiffany came to us on July 3, 1995; to paraphrase Dickens' famous line, "... it was the best of days, it was the worst of times."

Twenty years earlier, on that date, our daughter Jennifer was born. Less than 2 1/2 months before her twentieth birthday, she was taken from us in an Army helicopter accident.

Tiffany gets a lion cut too! Tiffany knew she was an Angel sent to do a very difficult job. She made us laugh till our sides ached during a time when even the memory of laughter seemed impossible. She made friends with Jenny's grouchy dog, Molly. She insisted on sharing guarding duties with our collie/newfie mix, Sierra. On cold nights in the winter, they could be seen appearing to lean against each other. A 127 lb dog can't lean very much on a 5 lb dog, but they managed to give the illusion of tired but vigilant soldiers, all the same.
