Chapter 5

"So how was the movie?" Joey asked playfully, gabbing J.C. in the ribs as they waited for their dinner.

"It was good." J.C. answered.

"So. . ." Joey urged.

"What?" J.C. asked.

"You know. . ." Chris finished. "Did J.C. get any action?"

"You guys I'm not gonna talk about this." He answered as Lucy walked into the room.

J.C. stood up and gave her a kiss on the cheek before pulling out her chair for her.

"Oh!!" Chris and Joey exclaimed as they saw the action in front of them.

"What's their problem?" Lucy asked as she scooted her chair in.

"Who knows. They're just being themselves." J.C. answered giving them both a warning glare.

"Where's Lance?" Lucy asked looking around

"I haven't seen him since this morning." J.C. answered quickly as their food arrived.

"If there is one thing you never have to worry about with these pricey hotels it's what to order. They make up your mind for you and hand it out." Chris replied staring at his plate.

"Chris chill out." Joey replied, "It's good try it!" Chris picked up his fork and took a small bite. "See it's not to bad!" Joey exclaimed.

Just then Justin and Lance walked in. They came in and sat down. They were served almost immediately.

"So is anyone up for watching TV tonight?" Chris asked as he finished his desert.

"Sure." Everyone agreed, everyone except for J.C. that is.

"You don't want to watch a TV with everyone?" Justin questioned.

"I kind of have some unfinished business to take care of." He said smiling at Lucy.

She blushed when she realized what he was talking about. Joey looked between them questioningly.

"Oh. . . right, some unfinished business. I know where he's going with that." Joey said slyly.

Lucy smiled as she got up. "I'm gonna go back to my room for a while. I'll see you all later." With that she walked out the door and down the hall to her room. She fiddled with the key until it unlocked the door. She laid down on her bed for a while. She replayed that days events in her head, and couldn't help but smile. There was a soft knock on the door and she got up to answer it. The smile reappeared on her face when she saw J.C. standing in her doorway. She didn't get a good look at him during dinner because he had been wearing a jacket but she smiled sheepishly as she looked him over. He was wearing a black fitted shirt that defined his abs and arm muscles and a pair of kaki pants. She smiled even brighter and blushed when she noticed he was doing the same thing.

"It's such a pretty night out and I was wondering if you would like to go for a walk with me?" He questioned after a short silence.

"I would love to." She replied. "Just let me get my key." She walked over to the dresser and slid it into her pocket, as he put his jacket back on. "All set." She said as she followed him out the door.

"I would take you for a walk through the city but security is eating and there is a mob scene downstairs." J.C. explained.

"Where are we going then?" She asked curiously.

"You'll see." He said taking her hand in his and leading her up a flight of stairs.

"I thought we were on the top floor." She said with a confused tone in her voice.

"We are." He answered vaguely as the continued to walk. He pushed open a heavy metal door and held it open for her. She smiled when she realized where they were. It was the roof. There was a bench and she sat down and looked up at the sky. There were so many stars out. It was so beautiful. No it was perfect. She thought as J.C. sat next to her.

"Ok. So maybe it's not really a walk but I wanted to go somewhere were we could be alone. And what better place then under the sky, sparkling with beauty." He paused and looked at her. "But of course not even the brightest star can compare to your sparkling blue eyes." She felt her face flush and she smiled and looked back at the sky. J.C. pulled her to him when he saw her shutter from the cold. He took off his jacket, draping it around her small shoulders. She snuggled into it as she put her arms through the sleeves. She could feel the warmth from his body that the jacket still held and she could smell his cologne. He put his arms around her and placed his cheek against hers and they stared at the sky together.

A shooting star flew by and they both sat together, awed by its beauty.

"Make a wish." J.C. whispered.

She closed her eyes and made a wish. She opened them and stared back at the sky above her.

"What did you wish for?" He asked.

"If I tell you it won't come true." She said quietly. "What did you wish for?"

"Nothing." He said simply.

"Why?" She questioned looking at his face by the soft glow of the moonlight.

"Because I already have everything I want." He answered. "I have my music, I have my health, I have fame, success, million's of loyal fans, my family, great friends, and you." At that she blushed.

"You promised me we would finish where we left off." She said sitting up and facing him.

"Your right. I did." He answered smiling.

He moved in and his lips lightly brushed over hers. Her lips parted to receive the kiss and the kiss deepened. Her hands found their way to his neck and she entwined her fingers in his hair. She smiled against him when she felt his hand run through her hair and then move down her back. This time their kissed lasted longer before they pulled away.

She smiled and started to giggle.

"What are you giggling at?" J.C. asked smiling at her questioningly.

"You taste like chocolate cake!" She exclaimed with laughter. She was laughing more at her own silliness then at the fact he tasted like chocolate cake.

He chuckled as her laughter died down. "Is that right?" He asked.

"Mm hmm." She replied smiling slyly as she moved in for another kiss.

He was a little surprised but he wasn't about to ruin the moment. He closed his eyes and returned the kiss. They both were enjoying the moment until they heard a loud cough.

They pulled apart to see Lance. Lucy felt her cheeks turn red.

"Hey man what's up?" J.C. asked.

"Not much." He replied. "I hope I wasn't interrupting but everyone was wondering where you wandered off to."

"Don't worry about it." J.C. answered. "Are you guys watching TV?"

"Yeah." Lance replied.

"Do you want to go watch TV with the guys?" J.C. asked.

"Sure." Lucy replied getting up and running her fingers through her hair to fix it.

J.C took her hand in his and followed Lance down the stairs to Chris and Joey's room. The watched a few movies on HBO and enjoyed the night. J.C. and Lucy sat hand in hand and Lance sat thinking about what to do. Things could get complicated if he wasn't careful.
