The lights were dark as the young man turned on his laptop computer. He sighed in relief at being able to get a moment's rest. He was glad that they had finally reached the hotel after the concert, he couldn't stand smiling happily at the fans, not like he used to. The familiar sounds of the laptop logging onto the internet were the only sound inside of the hotel room, because JC's roommate for the night, Justin, was in the other room playing video games.
He logged into the chatroom that, for the last three weeks, had been his place to go and hide. A place where people didn't know who he was, and he could talk to them without having to watch what he said. He smiled when he saw the familiar screen name of his online friend.
[MonkEchic21: Hey Josh! =)]
[JSC2000: Hey whats up Beth?]
[MonkEchic21: Nothing much, just got home. How about you? Another rough day?]
Josh smiled. She was the only one who knew how tiring and rough his days were for him. He typed in his response.
[JSC2000: you bet. It's too hectic.]
[MonkEchic21: yeah, I know what you mean. Thank goodness summer vacation begins next week!]
[JSC2000: yeah that's great for you =)]
He suddenly remembered something. The last concert of the NSA tour was going to be done in LA.
[JSC2000: hey, I'm going to be in L.A. next week too! We should meet or something, I feel like I know you better than some of my best friends]
[MonkEchic21: Yeah I know what you mean. Let's meet at Magic Mountain? Would you mind if I brought along my best friends?]
[JSC2000: Sure. I'll bring a couple of mine too =)]
[MonkEchic21: that'll be cool! Let's meet near the Superman Ride? At like 3 on Saturday?]
[JSC2000: That's be great. See you then! =)]
[MonkEchic21: yeah. Well, I'd better be getting off, email me later okay? God bless!]
She logged out. JC couldn't wait until Saturday.
