Chapter 2: Sleeping Together?

"JC, something wrong?" Joey asked as they got off the bus. They were in front of Julia's apartment complex. Chris, Justin, and Lance had scampered off the bus towards the apartment.

"Nothing's wrong," JC said, "I'm just tired." Joey nodded, understanding. JC had resolved on the ride to Julia's the past was in the past, and that's exactly where it should have be left. He just hoped Julia felt the same way.

Julia laughed as she was bombarded by hugs of the guys of 'N Sync. When her gaze fell on JC, she could only give him a friendly smile and hope that he recognized the peace offering.

She wants to forget it too JC thought, giving her his first genuine smile of the day as he pulled her into a hug. "It's been a long time, Jules." He said, calling her by the special nickname that he had for her.

"I know, J." She answered, calling him by his special nickname. A part of her was relieved that he had decided to forget what had happened. She looked at the rest of the guys, "well? Aren't you guys going to help me carry my stuff on the bus or do I have to do it myself?"

Justin comically flexed his muscles, "Anything for you babe." He said with a wink, while the rest of the guys groaned and rolled their eyes.

"C'mon guys! A little help here!" Justin said, grunting as he carried Julia's largest piece of luggage. The rest of the guys carried smaller pieces and only laughed at his complaint as they walked ahead of him.

"Serves you right, Mr. Bodybuilder!" Chris called behind them, whooping with laughter. They all piled into the bus.

"You'll be using JC's bunk, and he'll be sleeping in the tv room," Lance said.

"Hey! No one told me!" He exclaimed.

"Because you never asked!" Chris called from his bunk. JC rolled his eyes, not really minding the fact that he'd be sleeping in the tv room.

"And it's either that or you two share and sleep together!" Joey called from his place on the couch. He looked at their wide-eyed expression and laughed. "C'mon guys, loosen up, I was just kidding."

"Yeah." JC said, laughing shakily, while Julia slapped Joey teasingly on the arm before leaving the room to explore her new living quarters.
