Chapter 1: The Wedding
Justin Timberlake stared at the bottom of the bunk that was above his. The soft rumble of the tour bus didn't do it's usual trick of luring him into deep slumber, instead, he was wondering how he had ever been able to sleep at all in the bus. He could hear Chris snoring above him, and there were also the soft murmurs of Lance's voice as he talked quietly to his girlfriend, Lindsay, on the phone.
Justin sighed, sitting up. He cautiously put his bare feet on the floor of the tour bus, knowing that it would be cold.
"Justin? You still awake?" Lance asked concernedly, pulling the curtain that covered his bunk to the side.
"Yeah. Tell Lindy I said hi, alright?" Justin asked
"Oh yeah, Lindy's brother John is getting married in two weeks and she wants us all to come. You cool with it?"
"Yeah sure. Sounds like fun." Justin answered back. Lance nodded and closed the curtain.
What's wrong with me? Justin wondered, going into the tour bus' 'kitchen' and taking a seat in the booth. He stared out at the moving scenery through the window next to the booth. He had everything every guy could ever want - money, lots of friends, looks, and the choice of any girl he wanted. He grinned to himself as he thought of how foolish he was acting and got back up to go to sleep. There's nothing wrong with me, I've got everything I need, he thought slowly falling asleep.

"What do you mean you might not be able to come?" Sydney Lincoln held the phone away from her ear as her brother yelled into it.
"I'm sorry, Johnny!" She said back into the phone. Her brother was nearly in hysterics, and she was trying to concentrate on her driving.
"It's my wedding for goodness' sake, Syd! You have to be there!"
"I know, I know! I'm going to try, I need to take time off from work first and find someone to watch Walter for me." Sydney had fallen in love with this adorable terrier pup when she had found him digging around her garbage one morning.
"Walter," Johnny chuckled, "What kind of person names their dog Walter? Bring the darn dog along! I'm sure he'll get along fine with Sparky."
"Oh no, we are not letting Walter around Sparky. That dog of yours is pure evil, Johnny."
Johnny laughed into the phone, his mood lightening. "Yeah, I know. But promise me you'll try really hard to come. It just wouldn't be the same without you there."
"I promise I'll try everything humanly possible to be there, okay?" Sydney compromised.
"Okay. Love you, sis."
"Love you too, you annoying big brother. Oh, tell Mom, Dad, Paul, and Lindsay that I said hi. And tell Angie I can't wait for her to be my sister."

"You ready, yet?" Justin called impatiently up the stairs. They were at Lindsay's home and were getting ready for the wedding.
"We're almost done!" Lance called down the stairs. Lindsay giggled upstairs.
"Cool down, Ju-Ju," Chris said, eating some cookies.
"Yeah, they haven't seen each other in a while." JC mentioned. Lance and Lindsay came down the stairs a few moments later, holding hands.
"Ready to go?"

"Does my tie look okay, Dad?" John Lincoln Jr. asked his father, straightening the tie up.
"It looks fine, son," John Lincoln Sr. said, smiling knowingly at his son. "I've never seen a man be so nervous before."
"I have," Barbara Lincoln said, passing by them giving John's father a look while John laughed.
A door slammed. "I'm here!" Sydney sang from the front door.
"Hey! You made it!" Her father said, giving her a hug.
"Yeah. Am I too late to get dressed?"
"No, dear. You have about an hour to get ready," Barbara told her as she gave her a hug.
"She looks so beautiful. She's growing up so fast." John commented, watching his youngest daughter prance up the stairs as if she were still five years old.
