Chapter 2: You Have A Sister?

"Wow, it's beautiful." Lance commented as he walked into the church. People were already sitting down, chattering, as they waited for the procession to begin.

"Yeah, Mom did all the decorating but Syd helped too." Lindsey said, smiling brightly.

"You have a sister?" Justin asked, a little bit surprised.

"Yeah," Lindsay said, "didn't you know? Her name's Sydney. I think she's the same age as you, but believe me that girl has so much energy I can't see how she never tires herself out. Oh," She said, looking at the watch on Lance's wrist. "It's almost time, you guys should go get your seats!" She gave Lance a kiss before she dashed away.

"Daddy? How do I look?" Sydney asked shyly, twirling in front of her father in her bridesmaid dress.

"Darling, you look absolutely beautiful." John commented, gazing affectionately at his daughter.

"Thanks you." Sydney said, blushing.

"Hey, don't I get a 'hello' here?" Lindsay joked as she came into the room.

"Lindy!"

"Sydney!" Lindsay said, giving her little sister a hug. "You look great!" Although they were sisters and only two years apart, they looked almost absolutely nothing alike. Lindsay had inherited their mother's gold hair and her green eyes, while Sydney had her father's brown hair and sapphire blue eyes, like her brother Paul. John Jr. was a mix between both of his parents, having his father's hair but his mother's eyes.

"Yeah, but what I wouldn't give to have on a pair of khakis and a T-shirt right now!" Sydney commented. Lindsay nodded in agreement.

"What about me!" John asked, faking dejection. Both of his daughters hugged him at the same time. "This is great," He commented after they all released each other, "having my kids home all at the same time."

Sydney felt slightly guilty about that. She hadn't been in a rush to get home lately because of her mother's annoying friend and her son. Martin Reynolds was a complete bore, whose idea of an exciting day was playing chess. He seemed to think that she returned his affection, and had asked her out every time she came to her parents' home.

"I think it's time, girls," Barbara said, popping her head inside the room to remind them. She smiled at the sight of her husband and two beautiful daughters, but motioned for them to hurry up.

"Is it me, or is it strangely quiet?" Joey whispered.

"You're right, it is quiet," JC said, looking around discreetly. "How come no one's screaming?"

"All of the 'younger' kids in the family are either in their twenties or little babies, so you guys don't have to worry." Lance told them. "Now sit up you guys, Lindy's parents are going to be here soon."

"Ooh, Lance wants to make a good impression on the 'folks' eh?" Justin joked, nudging him. Mr. Lincoln came walking up the aisle.

"Lance right?" He inquired, standing next to their pub.

"Yes," Lance answered, standing up. They shook hands. "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Lincoln-"

"Please," John Lincoln lifted his hand to stop Lance, "call me John. And this is my wife, Barbara."

"Lindsay talks so much about you, Lance," Barbara said, studying the man her daughter was in love with. Lance blushed.

"She talks about you all the time, along with her brothers and sister." He commented. They all heard the procession music, and everyone took their seats.

Sydney smiled encouragingly at Angie, who seemed like she was going to cry. "I am so nervous," She whispered to Sydney. "What if I fall? I'd embarrass Johnny so badly."

"Angie, Johnny loves you. He wouldn't care if you flashed all of the guests, though I advise against that." Sydney said, causing Lindsay to laugh and Angie to smile. They heard the wedding march and began the procession.

"Wow." Lance said under his breath. Justin said next to him and studied the bridesmaids. They were all beautiful. He recognized Lindsay walking down the aisle first, followed by another girl. Her blue eyes sparkled with happiness as she smiled at several guests. The bride, Angie, was absolutely stunning. Her smile was bright with love as she looked at her groom, who was standing nervously at the altar.

Justin couldn’t take her eyes off of the girl with the beautiful blue eyes. As Johnny and Angie said their vows, he stared at her. She seemed to feel his gaze and looked in his direction, and smiled at him. He grinned back, thinking she'd start going into hysterics like most girls did, but she remained calm and returned her gaze to the priest.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Johnny gave Angie a kiss as everyone clapped. The bride and groom took turns hugging their parents, and then the bridesmaids and best men.

"Wasn't it beautiful," Lindsay asked tearfully as she laced her arm through Lance's.

"Then why are you crying?" Lance said teasingly as he offered her his handkerchief.

"because our brother's married now!" The girl with the blue eyes said.

"This is my sister, Sydney. Syd, these are the guys of 'N Sync," Justin noticed a smirk discreetly form on her lips. "This is Lance, my boyfriend. And this is Joey, Chris, JC, and Justin."

"Hi!" She greeted them. Someone called her name from a distance and she turned around. "I'll see you guys at the reception, okay?" She said, hurriedly walking away to go and talk to her cousins.

"This is great." JC said, looking at the hall admiringly. He and Justin sat at a table by themselves. Chris and Joey had met some girls and were busy flirting, while Lance and Lindsay were dancing on the dance floor.

"Yup," Justin said, stretching back in his chair.

"Something wrong?" JC asked.

"Nothing's wrong." Justin said, studying Lindsay's sister. She was talking animatedly to another guest, who was listening earnestly.

"I'm going to go get a drink, you want anything?" JC asked, getting up.

"No, that's okay. I think I'll go outside and get some fresh air."

"Alright. See you then." Justin got up, remembering that he saw some basketball courts outside. I'm glad I kept that basketball in my trunk, he thought, smiling to himself. Weddings weren't really that exciting for him, so formal and everything that it made him uncomfortable.
