"Whatever." Justin said, his expression dark as he walked along with them. They had all decided to eat at a tiny cafe, and the waiter there had a serious attitude, especially with Justin, and spent the whole night messing up his orders but acting like a perfect gentleman towards the girls.
They all entered the hotel a couple of moments later, stopping in the lobby. "I had a good time tonight," Lance said, low enough so that only Gabrielle could hear him.
"Me too." She said, smiling at him. Jessica was still busy laughing at Justin, who seemed to be enjoying the attention but trying to hide it. "Well, I'm going to bed. See you guys tomorrow hopefully," She said, grinning at Justin.
"Yeah, see you guys later," Gabrielle said reluctantly. They both started up the stairs, "coming, Ari?"
"Huh? Yeah, sure." Marielle answered, "'Nite guys!" The three of them started up the stairs. After the girls had gone up the stairs, the guys all plopped down onto the chairs in the lobby.
"I haven't had this much freedom ever since we got our record deal," JC said, sighing. He thought of Marielle's face as she left up the stairs, then wanted to hit himself for thinking of someone else besides his girlfriend.
"You like Gabi, Lance?" Joey asked him, knowing the signs.
Lance just shrugged and didn't confirm or deny Joey's suspicions. "I'm going to sleep. See you guys tomorrow." He said to them, and started up the stairs.
"He's sure acting weird, huh JC?" Justin said as soon as Lance got out of view.
"Uh, well I'm going to bed too." JC said, grinning. "See y'all tomorrow."
"I can't believe you, Marielle!" Jessica said as soon as they shut their hotel door.
"What are you talking about?" She asked, confused.
"You know perfectly well what she's talking about," Gabrielle teased, sitting Indian style on her bed, eating gummy worms.
"I do not! Tell me!" Marielle insisted.
"You like him," Jessica said, grinning as she let out an exasperated sigh.
"Who? Oh...no I don't!" Marielle replied.
"And he's taken too," Gabi said, clucking her tongue, "I never would have thought you, Ari, would be capable of that. You're too.... nice! But then again, he is cute and he has a cute butt."
Marielle laughed, "Whatever, but I don't like him. And you're right, I wouldn't hit on a guy who's taken. It's wrong."
"Uh huh. Well I'm not gonna lie and say I don't like Lance," Gabi answered, popping another gummy worm into her mouth and jumping off of her bed, "hey, maybe they're on their balconies!" She pranced towards the balcony doors and opened them, looking onto the balcony beneath them to see if Lance was out on his balcony. "LANCE! Come out!" She hissed, hoping she was loud enough so he could hear her.
Lance had just finished changing into his pajamas when he heard his name being called out from his balcony. Curious, he opened the balcony doors and stepped outside, only to get beaned on the head with a gummy worm.
"Hey," He said, smiling up at Gabrielle. She smiled back.
"Want a gummy worm?" She asked innocently.
"Sure." He opened his mouth upward, and she dropped one straight into his mouth.
"Cute 'jammies," She teased, eyeing his Pokemon pajamas.
"Thanks." He said proudly, pretending to model for her. "Are Jess and Ari asleep already?"
"Nope." She said, popping another worm into her mouth.
"Oh, so y'all are having a party after leaving us down in the lobby," JC interrupted, smirking at them from his balcony.
"Do you make it a habit of eavesdropping?" Marielle asked, coming out onto the balcony.
"Hey, you two are nosy!" Lance teased.
"I can't help it, you guys are loud!" JC shot back, laughing. "Are you really going to bed?"
"I'm not for at least a couple more hours," Marielle said with a shrug, "I'm a late sleeper.
"Yeah, but when she does sleep, it's almost impossible to wake her when she does!" Gabi said with a sigh.
"You guys want to watch a movie in my room?" JC asked, "I've got free pay per view. It's in English too."
"Sure. You going to be there, Gabi?" Lance asked, his green eyes hopeful.
"Yep. Give us a second to get up our whole collection of junk food and we'll be there." Gabi replied.
"You going to come too, Ari?" JC asked.
"Okay. I'll tell Jess. See you guys in a bit."
Justin answered JC's door after the first knock, finding only Lance behind the door.
"Hey," He answered unenthusiastically, disappointed that it wasn't Jessica and the rest of the girls.
"Well I'm glad to see you too," Lance said sarcastically. Justin went back to the television and sat down on the floor in front of the couch. Marielle, Jessica, and Gabi came in a second later after Lance.
"Wow, you guys sure get special treatment," Gabi commented, looking around at JC's enormous suite.
"Where's JC?" Marielle asked, looking around for him.
"He got a phone call," Joey told her, looking at the television as Chris flipped through the channels. "What do you want to watch?" They all heard JC's voice coming loudly from the other room.
"I came all the way here to see you and you can't even give me an hour of your time?" He was obviously upset. "What the hell is it then?" He was quiet for a moment, and none of them could make out what he was saying any longer.
"Uh, how about Notting Hill?" Jessica asked, trying to break the silence.
"Yeah, that's a good idea." Marielle answered after a moment. Justin leaped up and turned off the light so the TV was easier to see. JC came out a moment later, but headed straight for the balcony instead of sitting with the rest of them to watch the movie.
JC felt completely frustrated. He'd wanted to see Dani; their hectic schedules prevented them from seeing each other no more than once a month. He'd also wanted to know if it was worth it, He thought guiltily. When she told him she wouldn't be able to see him, he'd blown a fuse.
"You alright?" He heard Marielle say behind him.
"I just had a talk with my girlfriend," he said with a shrug, not really addressing her question.
"Oh," She paused, "I've only known you a couple of hours, but if you want to talk about it, I'll listen."
"Thanks." He answered, smiling at her. "I may take you up on that offer sometime." He felt his dark mood lightening, "let's go watch the movie."
"That was a sucky ending!" Justin said, a disgusted look on his face. Jess nodded furiously her agreement.
"Look at Ari! She's crying!" Gabi said, pointing at Marielle and laughing.
"Okay, okay, so I cry at the sad and happy parts of a movie! I don't care" Marielle said defensively, "but I'm glad he decided to go after her," She said with a sigh, making everyone smirk.
"So, what y'all want to do?" Justin asked, leaning back against the couch.
"I don't know," Gabi said, yawning, "well I'm off to bed, see y'all tomorrow. Jess, Ari, you two coming?"
"Yeah sure," Marielle said, getting up and yawning also.
