My coworker at a Ham Radio store in Sham Shui Po

Thursday – 15-feb-01

Shuttle bus from Hotel to Taipo in the New Territories. Lunch with the group, then walked the park next to the water next to work.

I forgot how we got back to the hotel, shuttle bus to the hotel or to KowLoon Tong MTR station.

Me and Marc, the ham, went out and shopped for ham gear, he wanted to buy a 4-band VHF/UHF rig, but didn’t know the model number, no shops had any, and the shops that had ham gear wanted MORE for it than HRO in the US!

Several of us went out for Indian food. I had seen signs for the Koh-I-Noor restaurant, when we had trouble finding it (You have to enter thru a tiny alley between two tourist trap stores and go up or downstairs.) I asked some Indian dude, he recommended a restaurant named Suriya, so we went there instead. It was quite good.
