I had a fairly uneventful weekend. Friday I went to Liz's. Patti taught us how to crochet [frustrating as heck, but also fun] then we went to see Lilo & Stitch. Liz cried. I sneezed & wiped my eyes and she thought I was crying too.
Next day, Liz went to Rachel's birthday party, I went home. Maureen and Katie pointed out that I can buy fireworks this year since I'm 16. We walked over to a stand & I got sparklers. On the way back, we were walking along when a car turned onto our street, I thought it was going to hit us. It was KC, Erika and Aaron. They wanted me to go see a play with them. I said no, because I didn't have any money. :(
Yesterday I got up around 8:30am and went to the store with my mom. We got doughnuts with stuff in the middle. Then we went for a ride in the country. We saw an old shack, my mom said she thought someone might be living in it. I found the idea of living in a shack strangely appealing...I'd have my own garden, maybe a goat. If I needed anything I'd ride a rickety old bike into town, and come back quickly as to avoid too much social interaction. That sounds very nice to me...That afternoon, I spent a couple hours watching tv and writing letters to a couple people. Then I couldn't find either of their addresses, or envelopes that fit. Fine I thought, they don't deserve letters anyway. I was pretty mad.
Now it's Monday. I'm doing my teacher aid thing at summer school. I don't want to be here. I want to go camping.

I haven't blogged for approximately four days, oh no...
Not much happened the last few days. I finished reading White Oleander, I can't wait for the movie to come out. I hope they didn't change the story too much.
Wednesday at summer school the kids had a 4th of July parade. They walked around the school in little hats & vests they made out of paper. I think I was the only person there that wasn't wearing red white & blue. "Well gee Lily, you aren't very festive" said Monica. "Sure I am" I said, and pointed to a flag sticker on my pants.
Independence Day itself wasn't entirely thrilling, but it had it's good moments. Sheila, Aaron & Gage came down from Oly. The whole neighborhood came out around 9:30pm and started lighting fireworks. Later on we went to the Indian Reservation just in time for the show to end. People were still there lighting off stuff. There was a lot of smoke & weird people & cars nearly running people over. I didn't want to be there. We came back & the neighbors had gone inside, except Maureen & Katie, their brothers Patrick & Eddie, and their friend Ross. Mo, Katie & I watched as the boys set off fireworks. They made sparkler bombs which were very loud. Then they threw bottlerockets at each other, & Mo and I kept telling them to stop it. They kept it up until one hit Patrick in the head and left a cut next to his eye.
I think Aaron left for California today. I called him yesterday, but no one answered. :( I hope he has fun.
These days I'm seriously considering chopping all my hair off. It would be easier if I didn't have to mess with it all the time. I'm just scared it will look dumb & I'll have to wait for it to grow out. I think I just might do it, though. Who cares if I look like a boy? ha

Yesterday was Beck's birthday, he's 32. I sent him a card. ;)
Sunday I went to Olympia with Elijah. It was so nice to get out of my house. My entire kitchen is full of boxes from the attic, it's a big mess. All in preparation for the yard sale this weekend. Anyway, we went to Olympia & he got some shoes. We went to a couple places & came back to my house. We talked a lot, and I cut my old doll's hair into a mohawk.
Yesterday I spent the afternoon making another pillowcase skirt. Bryon & Trevor stopped by, and their was this nice guy with them and I forgot his name! I'm so bad with names. He was really nice, though, and he laughed like Satan. It was funny. Well, we watched Dogma on Comedy Central & they left to meet their mom for her birthday.
I finished my skirt shortly after, and went outside. Andrew was outside playing Justin's guitar & I tuned it for him. That night Mo Katie & Ashley stayed at my house. I got crappy sleep for the most part, & got up at seven as usual. Liz didn't come to school today, she wasn't feeling well. I feel kind of sick, too.
Oh yes, my birthday's tomorrow. I'll be 17, woo! It will be the 4th year in a row without a party, and I don't really care. It's Katie's birthday tomorrow, also. I'll go to her party like usual.

Okey dokey, Wednesday was my 17th birthday. Liz and I met Mo Katie & Ash at the theater & saw the powerpuff movie, Liz fell asleep & it was funny. When we got back KC had left a bag full of fun stuff on my porch. Thanks KC!
Later on, my parents took me to my favorite Thai restaurant & gave me my present, a 35mm camera for photography next year [yay].
We came home, and Andrew & Kim came over. We took a walk to the river & hung out a while & then they left.
I don't remember much about Thursday, but I spent the whole weekend helping out with our yard sale. Saturday Sheila, Aaron & Gage came down from Oly to sell some stuff. They brought me birthday cookies they'd made, and I swear they're the best cookies I've ever had. We ate them all. Later on that night we were playing this super neat game that Aaron made up, and my characters died just in time for Saturday Night Live. When they said "Jeff Richards" during the intro Aaron stood up and yelled "What?! I played high school football with him!" Weird, eh?
I had taken pictures all day Sat, so yesterday I got them developed. A lot of them turned out pretty neat. Then I went back to the yard sale. Nobody wanted to buy anything that day & we closed up early. Overall I made about $55 from clothes & toys.
I could write more but I don't want to. byebye

Whoa ho, 7 days without a single blog entry...its a record. I've done lots of stuff this past week. Weird, un-detailed review:
Found out where the steps by the freeway really are, saw a floating white body out of the corner of my eye, ate all my sister's cookie dough, took pictures, teleported a couple times, saw Weezer's new video & laughed, ate raw coffee beans, ran from a bee hive, sunbathed until I was burnt and quite nauseated as well, played drums on Andrew's front lawn, read more of The Bell Jar [a very good novel], took a nature walk behind the Goodwill parking lot, played hangman in a coffee shop downtown, tuned a couple guitars, re-arranged my room, sewed a pillow & a couple t-shirts, stole a blanket, hung out with The Wonks, made a fish face, argued with my mother, cried about my hair, danced around my room, watched The Royal Tenenbaums two more times & loved it, inhaled cold bathwater which made me choke and then laughed about it, claimed binoculars that were not mine, and painted one wall in my room green...
In no particular order.
Guess who's going on a road trip? I am...with Liz & her mom, Patti. I thought we were leaving Saturday. I was informed a couple days ago that we're leaving Friday instead. I have two days to get everything in order & pack clothes & other necessities to last me 2 1/2 weeks. I have to buy enough film to take a million awesome pictures, also. Oh holy gee wiz, I'm so excited.
Well, since I'll be a couple states away & w/o net access, it's obvious that I won't be blogging for a while. I was going to change the layout but I've been too busy with all the stuff I just told you about. I will also have to link last month's entries and add all the poetry I've accumulated once I get back...so look forward to that in mid August. ;) Yeah, and after being gone 2 1/2 weeks I will paint the other three walls of my room green as well.
Elijah just came over & dropped off his copy of the Virgin Suicides [the novel]. He said it was different from the movie. I can't wait to read it. He gave me a note, also. Elijah, you're not an idiot. I hate ink, too. See you when I get back.
Bye bye everyone. I'll be sending postcards.
