Why do you do it? Your life would be easier without all those early morning rehearsals. The late night uniform repair. Frozen valves. Broken reeds. Marching rehearsals that just don't end. Rookies that just don't get it. Why put up with it all? You wouldn't be the same without those Inside jokes. The not intentionally dirty, but actually quite dirty director comments. Friendships that thrive even after you've seen each other every day for a month straight. Free t-shirts. Free football games. And if your lucky, the free bowl trips don't hurt. You love band, don't you... Don't try and hide it. You love your band, but do you ever wonder what other bands are doing? Want to know what to expect from your rivals? Think you might like to meet your counter parts in another band? That's why this site is here. This is your chance to find out. The Practice Field has been created to supply Big Ten band members a place to go to learn about each other. Here you will find traditions and information from bands in the Big Ten. You can learn about their particular marching style. You can make a contact and a new friend in another band. Or you can just taunt them when they come to your field. Try and stay away from the last one. All the information on this page comes directly from Big Ten marching band members such as yourself. If you have something to add, please do. Head to the "submit" button on the top of every page and find out how. *site optimized for internet explorer |
